Data Collection Specialists will need to learn quickly, execute the recruitment and collection procedure accurately, record data, and document any needed information associated to data. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent interpersonal skills. S/He should be able to contribute to improvements in data collection projects by identifying any issues in tools and suggesting enhancements and understand changes to collection protocol in response to data needs and workflows. Passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy as well as proactive behavior in addressing issues and problems is a huge plus.

Key job responsibilities

• Work with team leads, operations managers, and project leads to prioritize and manage workload

• Provide support for recruitment, data collection and project execution

• Support stakeholder communications and management with internal support functions as well as customer teams

• Manage/support escalation on predefined tasks

• Highlight issues and challenges to leads and managers as required

• Work across global team(s) and operations organizations to enable associates to take right action for internal customer and drive business metrics

• Identify and report operational inefficiencies, SOP enhancements and process improvements

A day in the life

To be successful in this role, you will need to understand changes quickly in response to internal customers’ requests and change projects/worktypes accordingly. Driven by your passion for data, you show proactive behavior in solving issues with efficiency and accuracy. Your ability to concentrate and your high attention to details help you deliver high-quality work as well as maintaining strict confidentiality and follow all applicable Amazon policies for securing confidential information. Your excellent communication and strong organizational skills help you support several projects at one time, and re-prioritize as necessary.

About the team

Customer Robotics (CoRo) Tech Support team provides data creation, curation, and analytics services to help develop, test, and train CoRo products. We work closely with Amazon Machine Learning (ML) Science and modelling teams, providing the critical data they need to improve Astro's capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented • Experience working in a corporate environment • Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment •Practical knowledge of machine learning data processing needs and trade-offs • Experience working with prototype assets • Experience in research or data collection • A good sense of humor, a positive attitude, and great team work skills are a must

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $31,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $51,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
