The Engineer will support the Project Manager in the 'Public Improvement' team, focusing on analyzing gas system projects in partnership with local jurisdictions. This role involves taking city plans through intake and devising solutions for design conflicts. Key responsibilities include underground conflict analysis with gas lines, project scoping, design QC, support of PMs and field crews, project-intake management, CAD, analysis of work orders/packets, and delegation of workload to appropriate Project Managers. Projects will vary, but will primarily involve intake of projects, analyzing forecasted design conflicts, collaborating with Engineering Specialists to produce CAD designs, and resolving conflict resolutions with city plans.

Hard Skills

• 3 years of experience in utility distribution services (preferably gas, water, or sewer)

• 3 years of experience in drafting/design in AutoCAD (civil 3d, MicroStation, AUD)

• Experience in scheduling and managing projects from start to completion (SAP experience preferred)

Soft Skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and presentation skills

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Year(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Bellevue, Washington and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid work environment (three days in office and two from home), Monday to Friday working schedule (8am-4pm), 3 weeks of PTO
