Our team is seeking an Associate Software Engineer who will work with a team of software engineers, network engineers, and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer requirements, scales easily, overcomes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. The Associate Software Engineer will participate in the architecture and design of various software components, focusing on creating applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms. They will work on technical assignments that are routine in nature, typically receive detailed instructions on all work, and operate under close supervision. Job Responsibilities: Technical Engineering Services Participates in engineering projects by adapting and applying software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Ability to learn technologies being used. Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows. Aware of current technology benefits. Expected to independently develop a full software stack. Understands the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work. Independent study of current technology. Technical Writing Maintains clear documentation for new code and systems used. Documenting systems designs and business requirements. Technical Leadership Collaborates with technical team to deliver technical solutions. Continuously learns new technologies. Ability to offer and communicate ideas and opinions. Awareness of technology roadmap. Technology Strategy Contributes to emerging technologies to deliver business goals. Understands current technology that supports business goals. Education: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience (Required) Work Experience: 0-2+ years of technical engineering experience, or comparable hands-on experience through internships, bootcamps, or independent projects (Required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Communication (Required) Customer Service (Required) Analytics (Required) Technical Writing (Required) At least 18 years of age.
