Job Overview The Associate Data Engineer support the build of infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Azure, and AWS 'big data' technologies. The Associate Data Engineer is responsible for identifying, designing and implementing components for internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Job Responsibilities: Build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, visualization, analytical tools Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/ non-functional business requirements Build analytics tools that use the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics Work with customer teams and team management to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs Create data tools for analytics and data science team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product's performance and effectiveness Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/ non-functional business requirements Build analytics tools that use the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics Work with customer teams and management to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs Create data tools for analytics and data science team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product's performance and effectiveness Work with data and analytics experts for greater functionality in our data systems Education: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience required Work Experience: Required: 2 plus years Data Engineering Experience building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines, architectures, and data sets Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement Experience in languages such as SQL, DAX, Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go Preferred: Experience working on Cloud Technologies like Azure Data Factory, ADLS2, Event Hub, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and see opportunities for improvement Experience in streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark.
