Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

Our client manufactures portable dance floors, lunch room table tops, and deck floors for concert stages, primarily supplying schools. We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee the second shift operations, manage a team of employees, and ensure the highest quality of product output.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned employees on the second shift (currently 5 employees, with plans to grow next year).

• Work with the Plant Manager on interviewing, hiring, and training employees.

• Plan, assign, and direct work assignments.

• Set and communicate expectations for employees and monitor performance.

• Implement training programs.

• Monitor and maintain product quality.

• Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop and execute nightly plans.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of production/plant supervising experience.

• Proficiency in production supervision, production management, and plant management.

• Basic math skills and mechanical inclination.

• Ability to perform assembly and production tasks.

• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

• Experience in hiring and training employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues if needed.

• No maintenance responsibilities on the second shift but mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is for the second shift, with hours from Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with occasional Fridays and potential Saturdays for overtime. The production environment is clean but can get warm/hot during the summer and somewhat dusty due to wood products. The dress code is casual, with jeans permitted, and shoes do not have to be steel-toed but must be all leather and lace-up.

Job Type, Location, and Pay

This is a Permanent position based out of Belleville, Wisconsin. Salary between 60-70k, depending upon experience
