Phoenix Industrial Services Stick/Arc Welder in Belleville, Michigan
Phoenix Industrial Services has partnered with a steel Company that is seeking a skilled Stick/Arc Welder to join their team at their Belleville, MI location. The Welder will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components used in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform various types of welding processes including FCAW, plasma cutting, and rigging
- Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet company and industry standards
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder in a construction site setting
- Proficiency in various welding techniques such as FCAW, sheet metal, and ductwork
- Knowledge of mechanical processes and machining
- Familiarity with codes and standards related to welding practices
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment effectively
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with rigging operations
- Proficiency in using calipers for precise measurements
