Dirt Slingers Excavating Class A CDL Driver/Equipment Operator in Belle Center, Ohio
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class A CDL Driver/Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully deliver all equipment to and from job sites, deliver materials to/from job sites/shop yard, operate heavy equipment on construction sites when needed, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Duties:
Operate a range of heavy equipment, including graders, bulldozers, and dump trucks, to move materials, clear land, and demolition.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers, as well as transfer materials between different areas of the site.
Dig trenches and holes using heavy equipment, as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized construction site, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Operate a Caterpillar vehicle, ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures.
Utilize commercial driving skills to transport personnel and equipment around the site.
Collaborate with other operators and construction team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating heavy equipment, such as graders and bulldozers.
Valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
