SCB Division of DCX-CHOL is seeking an experience Quality Engineer with the following qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager and Department. This position is for a motivated self-starter who demonstrates he/she can work under minimal supervision. The candidate must have prior experience in the field and can work with diverse personalities. Other qualities include strong communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, be detail-oriented and hands-on. Must be willing to take on various duties within the QA Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provide Quality Assurance support to internal functions including Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test.
Manage execution of new programs into the production, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, while achieving schedule and cost goals.
Work closely with engineers and manufacturing for problem.
Working with the QA manager to develop and implement product quality plans. Control plans such as compiling quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, in-process rejections, and warranty returns.
Review product drawings and specifications, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), manufacturing process plans, and First Article Reports (FAIRs).
Performs quality engineering reviews of work instruction documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
Oversee effective review, implementation, and flow down of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into manufacturing and supply chain.
Support product first-build activities and assist in the evaluation and improvement of manufacturing processes.
Support internal non-conforming material control process, including Material Review Board (MRB).
Lead structured problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) to resolve customer complaints, audit findings, or customer returns in a timely manner that prevents reoccurrence,
Support internal and customer system, process, and product audits.
Promote adherence to DCX’s Quality Management System (AS9100), and drive process and product improvements. Also, review and update site quality systems and procedures,
Working with QA manager to review quality performance trends, statistical plans, and continuous improvement initiatives specific to assigned customers/products.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years of progressive quality experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
AS9100 experience.
Interpret electrical customer requirements and industry regulations.
Must know how to read drawings and schematics.
Experience testing conductivity, dielectric withholding voltage, and insulation resistance.
Electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
Experience with creating testing programs for harnesses.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal
Ability to work in fast pace diverse environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with reliability reporting.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
