Are you ready to help lead a team of talented engineers and shape the future of water infrastructure?

Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary water team as a Senior Civil Design Engineer in our rapidly growing Belfast office, as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of water programmes and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients.

AECOM is currently working as Civil Engineering Design Consultant on the £1.2bn Major Project Partnership Framework (MPPF) for Northern Ireland Water, which will deliver large capital works projects (over £10m in value) on water and wastewater infrastructure across Northern Ireland. This framework will include upgrades to major water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and network mains.

AECOM has also been appointed to Uisce Éireann’s new Capital Works PMO Framework and is the only supplier to be appointed to all four lots on the programme. AECOM will support Uisce Éireann, Ireland’s public water utility, in its mission to transform the delivery of water services, including providing cleaner, safer drinking water and more effective management of wastewater, to support social and economic growth. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to help lead a talented, diverse team committed to innovation and efficiency.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Expertise: Producedesign solutions on detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and drawings. Complete feasibility studies, including financial and non-financial comparisons. Gather and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Collaborate : Liaise with clients, construction delivery team and other AECOM teams to create and deliver the best solutions.

  • Deliver : Perform work in accordance with agreed budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

  • Mentor : Managing small teams to develop design outputs using the latest digital production methods, including 3D Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Quality : Ensure CDM compliance throughout design and construction.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Civil Engineering degree.

  • Experience working on the design and management of water and/or wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes.

  • Have experience in compiling feasibility reports for the water industry.

  • A background in Autodesk AutoCAD, ideally Civil 3D.
