Position Summary SURVICE is searching for an experiencedContract Administratorto support the Contracts/Subcontracts Department. The Contract Administrator will work closely with the in-house Law Department and members of various functional teams (Business Development, Finance, Project Management and Accounting) on all aspects of contract administration.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence
- Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with company policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations
- Review contracts for conformity with standard terms, identify risks, recommend revisions and negotiate changes
- Collaborate effectively with other internal groups (BD, Law, Finance, PM) during all phases of the contract lifecycle
- Determine whether to escalate issues to company's in-house legal department
- Research contract issues IAW FAR, DFARS or Commercial requirements
- Provide direct contract support, review contractual documents to ensure protection of company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies
- Administer and negotiate contracts
- Support proposal preparation as needed
- Work cooperatively with the technical and program staff to address customer requests
- Must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Respond to customer requests for representation and certifications
- Support contract management and legal functions as needed
- Provide surge support with subcontracting and purchasing as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Contract Administration
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint a plus
- Experience with FAR/DFAR
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills
- Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office products
- High level of competence in written and oral communication skills, analytical problem solving, decisiveness, and planning is required
- Proactive; self-directed; can take instruction and act
- Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment
