AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. The team: AWS Greater China Region (GCR) Tech is an organization that consolidates our current technical investments in MarketingTech, Marketplace, Data Platform Foundation, Customer Experience, and IoT Lab. The mission of GCR Tech is to build technical solutions that enhance customer experience, equip business teams with value-added tools and automation, and serve as a center of innovation that unlocks growth opportunities and accelerates the AWS China business.

The role: AWS GCR Tech Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to own and drive products within AWS China. You will work with both local and global stakeholders to define requirements, gain alignment, set vision, and build solutions. Additionally, you will develop roadmaps for engineering teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead product requirements, define features through PR/FAQ, and collaborate closely with business teams, product managers, and software development engineers to deliver those features, including leading go-to-market strategies

  • Develop a strategy and roadmap to drive a long-term plan for engineering teams to build a best-in-class customer experience

  • Interface directly with internal local stakeholders and global partners

  • Communicate effectively to all levels within the company, both in writing and in meetings

  • Make data-driven decisions to drive business growth and solve business pain points

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • 5+ years' Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
