Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Bedminster, New Jersey, within the retail furniture industry. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintaining general ledgers, handling accounts payable and receivable, and facilitating bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Management of accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all payments are accounted for and correctly posted

• Facilitation of invoice payments by sending bill reminders and contacting customers

• Processing and reconciliation of incoming payments and bank deposits

• Investigation and resolution of any issues with accounts receivables

• Enhancement of client relationships through communication regarding past-due accounts

• Identification of slow-paying customers and recommendation of collection candidates to the management team

• Overseeing vendor credit card charges

• Approval of shipping costs

• Administration of manufacturer incentives

• Providing support to the accounting team and management when necessary

• Collaborating with other departments to facilitate accurate financial reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and ability to ensure timely payments

• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations and maintenance

• Capability to accurately prepare and post Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial management and reporting

• Knowledge of Oracle financial software and its application in accounting tasks

• Experience with QuickBooks for managing and processing financial transactions

• Familiarity with SAP for enterprise resource planning and financial management
