Our lead candidate, lumateperone (CAPLYTA®), is FDA-approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults as well as for the treatment of bipolar depression in adults as monotherapy and as adjunctive therapy.

This Associate Director, Sales Training is integral in shaping the current and future leaders of our field sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building leadership development curricula, including Emerging Leaders, in-role first-line sales managers, high-potential first-line sales managers, new to role second-line sales leaders and second line sales leaders.

This role will be responsible for the continued build-out of a best-in-class sales training curriculum to support Leadership Development and post initial sales training for Primary Care, and Institutional sales teams focused on psychiatric medicines. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the Compliance department to build reinforcement trainings to support the entire field sales organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement leadership development programs, workshops, and seminars for our leaders: emerging, new to role, and experienced

  • Develop training for primary care sales, focusing on territory management, selling skills, marketing resource utilization and market access throughout the year, including sales meetings

  • Develop training for the institutional sales team, focusing on Account Management and adherence to federal guidelines in VA settings, selling skills and marketing resource utilization throughout the year, including sales meetings

  • Partner with legal and compliance to ensure effective and timely roll out of compliance trainings, assessments, and certifications for all sales teams: Specialty, Primary care and Institutional

  • Apply adult learning principles to product, selling skills, market access, field effectiveness and other training initiatives. Develop story-based approaches to learning and development initiatives

  • Lead all operational training assignments under the direction of sales training leadership.

  • Lead needs assessments for the implementation of training needs assessments and the identification of training initiatives to address any gaps or opportunities

  • Leverage technology to create efficiency and enhance the learning experience

  • Develop workshop objectives and content tied to sales and brand strategy

  • Effectively manage vendor partners from the selection process through content development and final PRC approval

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to train and optimize approved selling tools and promotional materials

  • Maintain training and development expertise (via research, benchmarking, and industry knowledge) to ensure training initiatives are cutting edge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree: MBA preferred

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a pharmaceutical Sales Trainer

  • 2 years + experience in executing Leadership Development programs.

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a 1st line Manager and 2-5 years Pharmaceutical Sales Representative experience, with a demonstrated history of strong sales performance

  • Previous experience in Neuroscience and Institutional selling preferred

  • Strong collaboration skills to engage key stakeholders in developing launch and ongoing training programs.

  • Strong partnerships and open communications with Sales, HR, Marketing, Compliance, US Commercial Operations and External Partners.

  • Travel to the ITCI home office in New Jersey up to 50% of the time; in additional to sales meeting travel, as needed.

  • Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within the required timelines.

Associate Director, Sales Training: Base Salary Range $130,000 - $165,000
