Surgery Scheduling Specialist Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Surgery Scheduling Specialist Work location: 2008 L Don Dodson Drive - Suite 100 Bedford, TX 76021 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly; Monday thru Thursday (8am-5pm), Fridays (8am-230pm), Rotating Saturdays at Injury Clincs during busy Sports Season (8am-10am) Vascular Surgery Specialists Clinic Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (REQUIRED)

  • 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (PREFERRED)

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process

  • Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician

  • Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability

  • Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

  • Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done

  • Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure

  • Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments

  • Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure

  • Performs other duties as assigned
