JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision of a more senior Commercial Account Manager or Manager, Project Management, the Commercial Account Manager II position will manage multiple commercial projects of moderate complexity. Oversees all aspects of projects, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities. It may be asked for participation in at least one larger, more complex project. The Commercial Account Manager II position will be responsible for all aspects of their projects over the entire life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, and close), while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

JOB DUTIES

  • Comply with PCI Project Management procedures and policies

  • Manage primarily Tier II and Tier III programs for any North American site

  • Provide project leadership, coordination and support for multidisciplinary project teams

  • Ensure appropriate kick-off of projects and required technical transfer information is gathered by both external and internal resources

  • Ensure that the project schedule encompasses project scope and associated details are accurately developed and maintained

  • Ensure equipment and components are identified and purchased in a timely manner, as applicable

  • Ensure effective communication of project timelines, status and needs to all project team members and stakeholders are held through routine meetings with documented meeting minutes

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and as internal liaison for the organization

  • Develop in-depth client relationships

  • Communicate timeline and scope change concerns to Management

  • Resolve client issues and escalate to PM Management as necessary

  • Ensure timely review and updates of documentation (MCP’s, batch records, validation protocols, etc.) associated with each project

  • Ensure daily communication of operational status and issues to affected staff and management

  • Interact with Quality Assurance to ensure production issues are dealt with promptly and with appropriate quality input

  • Ensure samples are shipped to testing labs and results are provided to all relevant team members and stakeholders

  • Support project activities outside of core hours as necessary

  • Help mentor less senior personnel with methodologies, tools

  • May participate in internal initiatives, as appropriate

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Comfortable to Proficient with Project Management software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Project

  • Pharmaceutical Industry and/or Medical Device experience, with knowledge of fill/finish and lyophilization a plus

  • 4-6 years of Project Management experience

  • Bachelor Degree with concentration in life sciences preferred

  • Strong planning and organization skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to resolve conflicting situations by maintaining high ethics and values

  • Strong interpersonal skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal physical effort is normally required

  • Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs

COMMUNICATIONS & CONTACTS

  • The Commercial Account Manager II will be responsible for communicating internally and externally on aspects of their projects.
