Flex Security Officer

Location(s): Bedford, MA | Burlington, MA | Danvers, MA

Job Type: Full-time | Flex schedule (Shifts may vary across locations)

Position Overview:

Securitas Security Services is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Flex Security Officer to join our team, providing security services across three locations in Bedford, MA, Burlington, MA, and Danvers, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets across these sites. This is a dynamic role requiring flexibility, as you will rotate between locations based on the security needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol Duties: Conduct routine patrols both inside and outside of facilities, monitoring premises for signs of criminal activity, safety hazards, or other suspicious behavior.

  • Access Control: Monitor and control access points, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas. Verify identification and issue visitor badges as necessary.

  • Incident Reporting: Document and report any incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities, completing detailed written reports and communicating any concerns to management.

  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established protocols.

  • Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment to identify security risks and take appropriate action when necessary.

  • Customer Service: Provide a professional and approachable presence for all employees, visitors, and contractors, ensuring a positive and secure environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous security experience preferred.

  • Ability to work across multiple locations (Bedford, Burlington, & Danvers) with a flexible schedule.

  • Valid driver's license and own means of transportation preferred.

  • Knowledge of security procedures, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, and law enforcement.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Working Hours and Location:

  • Flexibility to rotate between Bedford, MA, Burlington, MA, and Danvers, MA.

  • Shifts may vary depending on the needs of each location, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
