Robert Half Staff Accountant in Beaverton, Oregon

Description

We are on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Beaverton, Oregon. This role involves a broad range of accounting and operational functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, financial analysis, and tax management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and will be proficient in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

•Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met

•Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

• Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries

• Create and analyze financial reports, making sure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings with precision and efficiency

• Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts

• Participate in preparation for the annual audit

• Help develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Assist with tax audits and tax returns

• Utilize QuickBooks to streamline accounting functions and operations.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for this role.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Knowledge and experience with Bank Reconciliations.

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries handling.

• Proven experience in performing Month End Close procedures.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is considered a plus.
