Title Executive Director of Development Req Number BUS-24-00003 Requisition Category Active Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Location Remote, USA Description About the Role: Sawdey Solution Services is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development and Capture Manager to drive our growth in the Information Technology and Cyber Security sectors, with a strong focus on Department of Defense (DoD) clients. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of proven experience in business development and capture management, particularly within the DoD environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute strategic business development initiatives to expand Sawdey's presence in the Information Technology and Cyber Security markets. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within DoD, leveraging a deep understanding of the DoD acquisition process. Develop and implement capture strategies that align with Sawdey's core capabilities and growth objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within DoD agencies and industry partners. Oversee the entire capture process, from initial opportunity identification through proposal submission and contract award. Collaborate with internal teams to develop winning proposals, ensuring alignment with customer needs and requirements. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the DoD sector. Preferred Qualifications: Business development experience capturing and winning contracts with the U.S. Air Force (MAJCOM level), U.S. Navy (SYSCOM Level), and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in IT and Cyber Security. In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and market dynamics. Strong network of contacts within DoD and related industry sectors. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development and capture management, specifically targeting DoD clients. Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning contracts with values over $50 million. Extensive experience in securing significant contracts within the Information Technology and Cyber Security domains. Proven ability to build and successfully manage a business development pipeline valued at over $100 million. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Other Required Skills & Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Required (can be obtained after hire), Top Secret Preferred. US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
