Eaton’s EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division division is currently seeking a Electrician.

The hourly rate for this position is $43.10 per hour with $1000 signing bonus after 4 months of employment.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking an Electrician to join our team. This position is based at our Beaver, PA facility.

Position Overview:

The Electrician will lay out, install, and repair all intricate and/or network electrical controls on machine tools and plant equipment, including high voltage distribution and transmission lines and equipment in the Powerhouse, sub-stations, and plant locations. The Electrician will use tools such as ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, conduit pipe benders, pipe threading tools, tube testers, oscilloscope, signal generations, electricians hand tools and other related equipment, drill press, drill motor, grinders. The equipment used will be motors, switches, electrical and electronic controls, etc., on machine tools and plant equipment, power transformers, circuit breakers, rotary converters, switchgear, etc., replacement parts, conduit pipe, various sizes of wire, cables and bus duct, insulation, etc.

In this function you will:

• Perform the duties and fulfill the responsibilities of lower classified Electricians and, in addition, perform the following.

• Receive work assignment from supervisor.

• Work from drawings, sketches, schematics, manufacturers information and verbal information.

• Plan, layout and perform the complete installation and wiring of electrical controls of the most involved nature on test installation, machine tools and plant equipment consisting of many interrelated drive motors, timing circuits, motor generator speed controls, intricate relay circuits or other equipment. Perform the complete installation of high voltage distribution and transmission lines, equipment, and apparatus. Check controls and equipment after installation and diagnose and repair any malfunctions. Responsible for correctly installing and splicing underground power lines.

• Diagnose and perform repairs on electrical controls of the most involved nature including high voltage distribution and transmission lines, equipment and apparatus in the Powerhouse, substation, and plant buildings.

• Perform installation and repair work on electronic controls, machine tools, and plant equipment.

• Work in conjunction with other craftsmen on apparatus and shop equipment when required.

• Responsible for instructing and directing Trainees and co-workers assigned to the job.

• Keep work area, tools and equipment clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Must have Associates Degree or trade school equivalent in Electrical field

• Must be able to lift up to and including forty (40) pounds.

• Must be able to pass in-plant electrician test

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years electrical experience
