We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Beaumont, TX.

We are seeking a professional like you to fill this discipline-specific position (Mechanical) that is tactical and daily maintenance focused. In this role, you will be responsible to collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services relating to design review, repair, and maintenance, including predictive / preventative maintenance activities. Additionally, you will provide technical support for Root Cause Failure Analyses, troubleshooting of problems, spare parts management and monitoring Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance programs.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you create chemistry by...

  • Applying your technical knowledge and expertise, you will provide technical support to the Maintenance Supervisor, specialist, and crafts on difficult equipment repair problems.

  • Your robust problem-solving skills, those will be critical as you provide troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units on equipment reliability, including emergency work reviews.

  • Working with a focus on continuous improvement, you will participate in the Bad Actor Program and create action plans for improving reliability.

  • Demonstrating your effective interpersonal skills, you will assist in the training and development of in-house maintenance resources.

  • Relying on your previous preventative and predictive maintenance experience, you will establish, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance plans.

  • Being self-driven and forward-thinking, you will develop disciplined and systematic equipment Maintenance strategy based upon business needs.

  • Seeking cost and time advantages, you will evaluate alternatives for equipment repair.

  • Leveraging your education and related experience, you will support capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements as well as regulatory and BASF standards. This includes (but not limited to) equipment selection/layout, scope development, spare parts determination, support with technical bid analysis & bonus/malus reviews, and support of the installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.

If you...

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field of study.

  • Possess at least 8 years’ experience in engineering maintenance relating to the manufacturing and/or chemical plant environments.

  • Significant experience with rotating equipment.
