One Nature LLC Seasonal Construction Crew in Beacon, New York
Seasonal Crew - Construction FocusOne Nature LLC seeks to hire seasonal crew members for its construction team. The work of these positions will primarily consist of duties related to landscape construction. As needed, these positions may also be tasked with occasional work assisting One Nature’s stewardship and nursery teams. This position will primarily work under the direction of One Nature’s Project Managers. The positions are seasonal, hourly, and the successful candidates will be eligible for all benefits provided to One Nature’s hourly employees.Responsibilities and Duties:These positions will be tasked with: -Performing varied construction work, encompassing carpentry (such as custom fencing, gates, raised beds, decks, and stairs), stonework (such as walkways, patios, walls, and steps), earthwork (such as trail building, swales, rain gardens, and berms), and planting (plant installations, soil preparation, and invasive species identification and removal);- Safely use a variety of tools and equipment, including chainsaws, circular saws, drills, chop saws, string trimmers, etc.- Safely operate vehicles and machinery such as, but not limited to, vans, trucks, mini skid steers, mowers, and walk-behind tractors;- Effectively and promptly communicate with One Nature management regarding tool, vehicle, facilities, and customer issues;- Actively monitor and participate in inter-company discussion via One Nature’s internal messaging systems; - Comply with One Nature standards regarding safety and personal conduct;- As needed, this position will additionally be called upon to assist with stewardship, nursery, and/or consulting tasks. Qualifications:The ideal candidates will:- have experience with one or more of the following: carpentry, stonework/masonry, trailer pulling, and/or light machine operation;- possess a familiarity with and comfort using various hand tools, power tools, and light machinery;- have a strong work ethic and willingness to work in adverse weather conditions;- be capable of independent, sound decision making;- be flexible and adaptable to change; - follow instructions well;- be a clear communicator;- possess creative problem-solving skills- possess excellent plant care and identification skills;- possess a strong knowledge of regional native plants; and - work well as part of a team.
