Senior Analyst Commodity Sourcing

As a Senior Analyst, you will manage sourcing and contracting activity for Commodity Sourcing. This includes identifying sourcing opportunities, such as cost savings, value creation and risk management, analyzing the current state, presenting recommendations for change, conducting sourcing events and implementing programs to meet objectives.

A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 5:00pm. This is a hybrid position in Ohio working three to four days per week remotely and one to two days in the office.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies designed to meet enterprise goals.

  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams to identify and recommend sourcing opportunities, including cost savings, value creation and risk management.

  • Execute identified opportunities, perform related analysis and engage junior-level analysts where applicable.

  • Manage complex contracts and sourcing events through entire life cycle.

  • Independently prepare requests for proposals, information, quotation and reviews incoming bids against applicable criteria such as quality, price, product availability, distribution method, risk, etc.

  • Manage contract negotiations and projects and engage junior-level analysts where applicable.

  • Manage enterprise contract conversions and acquired hospital integration efforts.

  • Evaluate opportunity, gain stakeholder buy-in, communicate product/service changes, coordinate training and ensure product/service is converted.

  • Provide reporting on outcomes, including cost savings, value creation and risk mitigation.

  • Manage legal review process and facilitate appropriate contract approvals (committees, review boards, etc.) in accordance with internal policies and compliance requirements.

  • Meet with sales representatives to evaluate new products and/or services.

  • Review contractual performance to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal

  • Participate in vendor business reviews including KPI review and development of performance improvement plans.

  • Present complex contract analysis, including rebate and compliance analysis, to cross functional teams with assistance from senior team members.

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders on issue resolution and provide excellence in customer service.

  • Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives and conduct business according to established principles and guidelines.

  • Review current information (such as advertising literature, trade journals, etc.) regarding assigned goods and services to remain up to date on applicable technologies.

  • Manage assigned Excelerate (GPO) contract negotiations and projects.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, business or a related field.

  • Four years of experience in forecasting, inventory, contract management and/or analytical project management or other related supply chain experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence, articulate complex ideas to understand business terms, and collaborate and partner with a multidisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

  • Requires frequent sitting, standing and walking to various locations to attend meetings.

  • Must have normal or corrected vision and clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $33.46

Maximum hourly: $51.03

A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
