The Ocean County Utilities Authority Staff Engineer in Bayville, New Jersey
The Ocean County Utilities Authority, a public wastewater treatment facility consisting of three treatment plants and 40 pumping stations, is currently seeking a Staff Engineer. The position is exempt and is located in Bayville, New Jersey.
The Staff Engineer is responsible for working on engineering projects related to the planning, design, bidding and submittal review of capital projects; and providing support to Authority Operations and Maintenance activities. The position reports to the Engineering Manager or his/her designee.
Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Must have the ability to create engineering design, read plans and manage construction contracts. Demonstrated experience with interpreting and preparing engineering plans is desired. Experience is preferred, but not necessary. Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills related to technical assignments; have a strong computer background and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
The Authority offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 DOQ. We offer a strong benefits package that includes NJ State Health Benefits, pension (PERS), generous paid time off and holidays.
