Opens containers as required. | | - Assists in loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, | | trays, racks, and shelves by hand. | | - Occasionally loads boxed, crated or palletized materials into | | vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent | | shifting or damage in transit. | | - Supports materials conveyance from or to storage, work sites or | | designated area, whenever instructed by MOS Team Lead. | | - Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to | | destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load | | to destination. | | - Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or | | handled on a daily basis. | | - Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks | | information on cases, reels, bales, or other containers. | | - Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator. | | - Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and clean work | | area. | | - Shovels loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, | | or chemicals, into machine hoppers or into vehicles and | | containers such as wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels. | | - Occasionally, may support manufacturing processes as needed to | | meet production goals. | | - Must be able to adhere to FlexSteels Attendance Policy | | - Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have some knowledge of how to operate software programs like spreadsheets and word processing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must possess the ability to read and understand bills of materials and differentiate between parts that are similar in nature.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpr t bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
