Emerson Senior DevOps Engineer in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Support and maintain application infrastructure and platforms across on-premises and cloud-based environments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and incidents, conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and other technical and non-technical teams in an international setting.

  • Develop and implement solutions that enhance reliability, scalability, and performance of our platforms, improve user and developer autonomy and self-service capabilities.

  • Continuously monitor, optimize, and improve infrastructure and deployment processes.

Who You Are

  • Skilled and proactive engineer to responsible for supporting our application infrastructure, managing both on-premises and cloud-based platforms, and building solutions that empower our developers and application users with greater autonomy

For this Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or relevent

  • Proficient knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems

  • Expertise in one or more DevOps tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, ELK or Ansible.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies is a plus.

  • Understanding of network functioning principles and web technologies, including HTTP protocol, web technologies

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams.
