Dresco Machining & Fabrication CNC Machinist in Bay City, Michigan

Do you love working with your hands? Are you looking to learn new skills and up-level your abilities? Dresco might be a fit for you! We're looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join our growing team. Hours are first shift- 7:00AM-5:30PM Monday thru Thursday with overtime offered (not mandatory) on Fridays. Starting pay is $18+ based on experience. As a CNC Machinist you will be asked to interpret client blueprints and enter data into the CNC machine; set up the machine and monitor it as it operates; determine the fixtures, attachments and tools necessary to complete jobs; discuss project specifications with supervisors and colleagues to guarantee consistency between plans and products; inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation; perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement.

Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined and willingness to learn
- At least one year of experience operating CNC machines
- Previous work in the manufacturing industry
- Values precision and enforces quality standards
- Ability to communicate effectively and ask questions when needed
- Ability to read blueprints
- Comfortable maintaining machinery
- Utilize a variety of measuring tools such as calipers, tape measure, micrometer, etc.
- Familiarity with programming and interpreting CNC software
- Must be focused and pay attention to detail
- Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds
