Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for cleaning, setting up, and operating/monitoring equipment on the production line. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving needs on the machines when needed. A member of the maintenance team will be called for larger repairs. This is more of a Preventative Maintenance/Skilled Operator role.

Responsibilities

• Clean, set up, and operate/monitor equipment on the production line.

• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues as needed.

• Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team for larger repairs.

• Ensure product changeovers are performed efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of production experience.

• Mechanical/Technical experience.

• Experience with product changeovers, minor mechanical troubleshooting, and adaptive thinking.

• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, production packaging, automated equipment, and machine operating.

• Experience in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in packaging and mixing is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing and distribution facility that produces milk and other dairy products. The facility includes plenty of conveyors, mixers, and automated machinery. Employees are required to wear hair and beard nets as it is an FDA-regulated food and beverage facility. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and provides a friendly environment. Employees work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with every other weekend off.

This is a Permanent position based out of Battle Creek, Michigan.
