Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems

Experience using hand and electrical tools

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings

Very good communication and interpersonal skills

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not be all inclusive.)

  1. Meets routinely with Director of Facilities to discuss special needs, problems, and assignments. Keeps Director of Facilities informed of any unsafe items or conditions.

  2. Performs installation, routine maintenance, and repair of equipment, furniture.

  3. Ensures preventive maintenance schedule. Services equipment at regular intervals.

  4. Provides recommendations related to equipment acquisitions.

  5. Maintains adequate supply of inventories.

  6. Regulates building heating and cooling thermostats.

  7. Assists with interior & exterior maintenance, such as snow removal, de-icing, mowing, trimming, cleaning, painting and other miscellaneous duties, as needed.

  8. Works closely with administration or Director of Facilities on building projects, including repairs and renovations.

  9. Maintains a safe and clean working environment.

  10. Shampoos and vacuums carpets for cleaning and bacteria control.

  11. Assists in cleaning emergency spills as observed or requested.

  12. Complies with federal, state, and local regulations and codes.

  13. Loading, unloading, and delivery of portable dental equipment and/or other supplies to various sites.

Requirements:

  • Prefer building maintenance experience in a healthcare setting

  • Valid driver license
