Vontier Solutions Engineer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The Company

The Position

We’re looking to add a Solutions Engineer to join Teletrac Navman! As a Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for presenting product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in company's technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. Must have expert technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure, and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Develop and foster good technical relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues to assist with sales

  • Articulate the technical vision using all Teletrac Navman assets including core software, business intelligence, mobile, integrations, and hardware

  • Present and demonstrate the connection between the technical capabilities of the product and a return on investment to users, decision makers and executives

  • Review customer requirements, respond to customer and/or partner inquiries including pre-sales bids, review of customer architectures, on-site pre-sales meetings, presentations, and demonstrations

  • Evaluate whether Teletrac Navman solutions are viable candidates to deploy in customer’s networks and determine what product enhancements (if any) would be required to accomplish that task

  • Liaise with Professional Services and Engineering to ensure a smooth transition from sales to deployment and ensure that the technical needs of our customer are met

  • Create a great first impression to our prospects by proving them with a world class experience

  • Ability to simplify complex functionalities and present in a compelling and persuasive manner

We are looking for people who have:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science desired

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role

  • 2+ years’ experience in sales or project management perferred

  • Ability to see things through the customer’s eyes, deliver upon their needs and serve as their advocate internally when working on relationship development

  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development

  • Willingness to take the initiative and dedicate necessary time and energy to learning new product and industry information and identifying new tools that will help define Teletrac Navman as the preferred solution in industry. Self-Motivated with enormous initiative to continually improve

  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies, customer needs, and market trends

  • Possess the business acumen to position the Teletrac Navman solution as a strategic advantage for our customers. Must be able to clearly articulate business decision drivers and technical benefits in the context of the bigger picture

  • Proficiency with business tools such as Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com

  • Able to communicate effectively internally and externally verbally and in writing. Strong presentation skills.

The base compensation range for this position is $ 92,000.00 to $ 120,000.00 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
