Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

Candidates will work in either the shipping or receiving areas. They will be responsible for packaging and shipping electrical supplies, ranging from small boxes to large electrical spools with wiring. The role involves processing inventory, shipping items to clients, loading trucks or flatbeds, and unloading trucks. Candidates will also input products into the computer system and use computer systems to set up shipments, coordinate with vendors, and track inventory. Additionally, they will unpack and pack orders while verifying the accuracy of items.

Responsibilities

• Package and ship electrical supplies, including small boxes and large electrical spools.

• Process inventory internally for shipment.

• Load and unload trucks or flatbeds.

• Input products into the computer system using basic scanner and computer skills.

• Set up shipments and coordinate with vendors.

• Track inventory using computer systems.

• Unpack and pack all orders, verifying all items are correct.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving.

• Basic scanner and computer skills.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to articulate well.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to perform simple math.

• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and SAP.

• Proficiency in data entry.

• Experience in material handling, using RF scanners, and forklift operation.

• Ability to handle heavy lifting.

Work Environment

Dry warehouse with fans, providing a comfortable working environment. The facility is well-insulated but not air-conditioned. Standard work attire includes work pants, steel-toe shoes, and basic shirts. Shifts can range from 8 to 12 hours, with starting times varying between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be required during busy periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
