Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure (OHAI). This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

As a Senior or Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very sophisticated, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

We are seeking hands-on Senior & Principal Members of Technical Staff Engineers that share our passion and excitement for operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native best practices. You will have part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care.As an engineer in our team, you’ll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support the health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent, or equivalent experience

• Years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems, MicroServices, RestAPIs

• Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices

• Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages

• Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.

• Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (terraform)

• Experience with virtual networking

• Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and upbeat environments

• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects

• Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience in Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

Canada: Hiring Range from $66,700 to $145,000 CAD per annum

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
