Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Data and Assessment Specialist. The Program Manager position is in the BRCC Foundation Department. This is a full-time position. This position is open for recruitment.

COMPENSATION:

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, government relations, or advocacy, demonstrated success in leading campaigns and initiatives.
Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and experience working with government officials and agencies.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver impactful presentations.
Proficiency in digital communication platforms, data analytics, and branding best practices.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Passion for higher education, workforce development, and the mission of BRCC.
Job Concepts
The Program Manager is a pivotal leadership position responsible for supporting external activities including marketing and public relations efforts, fostering relationships with government officials, and advocating for policies and programs that advance the e mission of BRCC and the BRCC Foundation. This role focuses on creating innovative communication and public relations strategies to elevate BRCC and the Foundation’s visibility, engage stakeholders, and support fundraising and institutional goals, while also serving as a key liaison between the Foundation and external partners.
Communications, Marketing and Public Relations:
Develop and execute comprehensive advancement communication strategies that align with the BRCC’s mission and fundraising priorities.
Support the marketing and communications efforts of Venue and Events Management team.
Lead the creation of impactful campaigns to promote key fundraising initiatives and workforce development programs.
Build and maintain media relationships to secure positive coverage of BRCC and foundation events, initiatives, and milestones.
Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain a portfolio of select corporate partners, be the liaison with various units on campus to support their interactions with BRCC (campus leadership, workforce, venue and events management, development etc.)
Coordinate with internal teams to develop sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with communication and advocacy strategies.
Represent the Foundation and BRCC at community events, building awareness and engagement in the Baton Rouge and surrounding communities.
Advocacy & Government Relations:
Build and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal government officials to advocate for funding and policies that support BRCC and the Foundation.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting higher education and workforce development, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadership.
Represent the Foundation and BRCC in meetings, forums, and hearings to ensure its priorities and successes are effectively communicated.
Collaborate with BRCC leadership to align advocacy efforts with institutional priorities and strategic goals.
Leadership & Management:
Develop and manage budgets for advancement communications, advocacy, and government relations activities.
Manage communication and marketing projects and tasks with internal staff or contractors supporting advancement communication efforts, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Prepare and present reports to the Foundation Board of Directors and other stakeholders on the impact of advancement communication and advocacy initiatives.
