Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role is within the financial services industry, providing key support to our team by handling payroll and accounting functions. This role is a great fit for those with experience in Accounting Software Systems, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll.

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage payroll functions.

• Perform account payable functions, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of payroll information and processes.

• Handle inquiries related to payroll from employees and upper management.

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now for various accounting activities.

• Handle benefit functions related to payroll.

• Use Ceridian for managing payroll and related processes.

• Ensure compliance with current regulations and company policies.

• Work closely with the accounting team to handle other accounting functions as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Clerk

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with 'About Time' time tracking software

• Ability to perform general accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Knowledge of auditing principles and practices

• Demonstrated ability to manage benefit functions

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• High degree of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
