We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be tasked with managing billing functions, maintaining accurate records, and handling customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process medical billing and accounts receivable

• Utilize EHR SYSTEM and ePACES for managing billing information

• Address customer inquiries and resolve any billing-related issues

• Demonstrate proficiency in claim administration and appeals processes

• Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of billing data

• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are processed in a timely manner

• Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to handle any billing discrepancies

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and procedures

• Implement benefit functions as part of the billing process

• Ensure compliance with all medical billing policies and regulations

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficient in using EHR SYSTEM

• Experience with Epaces is required

• Must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in handling Appeals is necessary

• Must be well-versed with Benefit Functions

• Proficiency in Billing Functions is required

• Must have experience in Claim Administration

• Strong knowledge of Medical Billing practices and procedures is essential

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
