Honeywell Chemical Engineer II in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

As a Chemical Engineer II at Honeywell, you will leverage your expertise in chemical process engineering to drive the development of cutting-edge solutions that address the dynamic needs of our customers. In this role, you will design and optimize chemical manufacturing processes, applying your deep understanding of chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to tackle complex challenges in the production of chemicals, fuels, pharmaceuticals, food, and more. You will play a pivotal role in advancing Honeywell’s product portfolio, from concept and prototype stages through to market launch. As part of a dedicated team of professionals, your contributions will be critical to the success of innovative engineering projects and programs.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT:

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Provide day to day support for chemical manufacturing processes

• Lead improvement initiatives

• Monitor performance of processes throughout production

• Troubleshoot problems with various unit operations

• Conduct analysis and prepare reports

• Design experiments

• Gather estimates of the cost of production

• Lead productivity projects

• Develop scope for capital improvements

• Maintain engineering documents

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

• 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering

• Relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering

• Strong understanding of engineering principles and mathematics

• Ability to focus on key details and important information

• Competence in following guidelines to ensure task efficiency

• A keen interest in chemistry and chemical processes

• Project and resource management skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
