Robert Half has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist with our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will be a key player in our finance department, handling daily accounting tasks, resolving issues related to accounts payable, and providing valuable services to our internal business partners. This is a short-term to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintaining and updating customer credit records to ensure accuracy

• Resolving any issues related to accounts payable

• Assisting with internal and external audits as required

• Distributing daily department mail and keeping the office organized

• Logging, photocopying, and filing invoices, checks, and other documents

• Ensuring checks are verified, logged, and mailed, with special handling expedited when necessary

• Taking on special projects as assigned by the management

• Providing excellent customer service to internal business partners

• Ensuring all processes and controls are executed daily and in compliance with company policies

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory for efficient work processes

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required to ensure accurate financial operations

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary for managing payments and expenses

• Knowledge of Job Cost is essential for accurate cost tracking and budgeting

• Familiarity with Construction Accounting is needed as it's crucial to our industry

• Competency in managing General Ledger is required for maintaining accurate financial records

• Understanding of Cost Accounting is vital for cost management and profitability analysis

• Ability to handle High-Volume Invoicing is crucial to manage the large number of transactions
