Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves handling the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing customer service to internal business partners. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the Accounts Payable/Finance Department

• Ensure daily processes and controls are executed accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with company policies

• Provide customer service to internal business partners as needed

• Assist with both internal and external audits when required

• Manage the opening, sorting, and distribution of daily department mail

• Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents in an organized manner

• Verify, log, and mail checks, including expediting special handling when necessary

• Undertake special projects as assigned by the management. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Familiarity with check runs and invoice processing

• Experience in coding invoices

• Strong data entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle and SAP

• Knowledge of QuickBooks

• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Professional certification in accounting or related field is a plus.
