Our client in Baton Rouge is looking to bring on an Accounting Supervisor to manage their accounting process. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, where you will be instrumental in supervising accounting processes, which includes job cost reports, inventory management, sales orders, credit memos, reconciliations, and financial reports. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and auditing of financial statements

• Manage the process of account reconciliation and month-end close

• Supervise job cost reports and ensure accuracy

• Oversee the process of tracking credits, inventory, and backorders

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Supervise billing functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Utilize Sage (100 or Intacct) software and Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions

• Implement and manage internal controls to ensure compliance

• Resolve any accounting-related inquiries promptly and accurately.

Requirements

• Proficiency in managing all Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management.

• Skills in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience in Auditing.

• Ability to manage Billing Functions effectively.

• Expertise in Account Reconciliation procedures.

• Experience in performing Month End Close tasks.

• Ability to manage Job Cost effectively.

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation.

• Experience in conducting Financial Statement Audits.

• Proficiency in using Sage 100 or Sage Intacct software is highly preferred

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
