We are assisting a client in their search for a talented individual to fill this exciting position in Batesville, IN . This role offers competitive compensation ( $22-$23/hour ) with the potential to convert to a permanent role at the end of the 3 month contract period.

Hybrid Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Remote days TBD

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent experience in a business environment.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.

• Experience with General Ledger account reconciliations and cash applications.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access database is required.

• Knowledge of JDE and Cognos a plus.

Description:

• Process customer payments accurately and efficiently (checks, wires, ACH, credit cards)

• Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all payment applications

• Analyze and reconcile accounts within the ERP system

• Lead the implementation of process improvements to maximize company financial performance

• Review and apply unapplied cash within the system

• Facilitate manual posting of various payments

• Provide excellent customer service to ensure correct payment posting

• Assist Credit and Invoice Specialists with unapplied cash and credit card issues

• Manage monthly receipt purging and ensure all cash receipt batches are posted

• Monitor cash application processes for timeliness and accuracy

• Analyze department processes, research credit card chargebacks, and recommend solutions

• Identify and address gaps in credit card requests to prevent overpayments

• Educate associates on new cash posting processes

• Recommend improvements to cash posting for better cash flow

• Monitor financial controls and communicate potential risks to management

• Lead operational initiatives and projects for cash posting process improvement

Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
