Job Title: Jr Construction Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates mechanical and utility design and construction of factories used in the production of wet and dry pet food, and pet treats. The role requires technical expertise in project scope development and management of design consultants and contractors to ensure that standards and expectations are met from inception to installation of a project.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Broad knowledge of mechanical utility systems, technology, equipment, piping, and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) generation and review infield.
• Engage with corporate engineering team to understand project team structure, scopes, design, and coordination reviews.
• Provide Mechanical Engineering review and management of onsite mechanical/utility construction for capital projects.
• Oversee field observations and equipment and utility commissioning by third-party services during construction to ensure compliance with design and standards.
• Review and approve contractor means and methods for construction at factories in operation.
• Review and evaluate feasibility and cost estimates by contractors for existing and new factory sites and buildings.
• Position requires onsite presence at factory location for the duration of the project. Some travel to St. Louis for training and design coordination will be required.
Requirements
BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline
2-3 years experience in construction or plant engineering, facilities, maintenance, building construction
Knowledge with Mechanical utility systems
Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
Revit
AutoCAD
CAPEX
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00
