Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team in BATAVIA, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and handling budgeting and forecasting tasks. This position offers an opportunity for a long-term contract engagement in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accurate financial records

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy

• Handle balance sheet reconciliation activities

• Conduct bank reconciliations as needed

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks

• Conduct month-end close activities

• Handle budgeting and forecasting tasks

• Ensure all accounting tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is necessary

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations is mandatory

• Must be capable of handling general ledger tasks

• The ability to execute journal entries is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Experience with month-end close processes is required

• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting is necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is necessary

• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable.
