Tompkins Community Bank Personal Insurance Coordinator in Batavia, New York
Overview
To consistently meet or exceed the expectations of our Personal Insurance customers. Coordinating work within the department, and reporting pertinent information to the immediate Team Leader. Working together with the Personal Lines Management Team to train, grow, and develop our team and their books of business while adhering to the established processes and procedures of our company.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the Team Leaders as directed with the management of the Personal Lines Account Managers Team.
Assist in training, monitoring and support of the Personal Lines Account Managers.
Assist with scheduling, work distribution, monitoring of procedures, and rollout of new procedures, systems, and workflows.
Assist the Personal Lines Team Leader with maintaining proper daily staffing levels.
Assist in assessing staffing needs, recruiting, training and performance reviews.
Provide Personal Lines Team Leaders with ongoing input, feedback, and team training needs.
Utilize Call Monitoring and Recording software to elevate, coach and mentor Personal Insurance Account Managers.
Participate in the preparation of daily department task lists.
Participate in generating department monthly reports.
Provide coaching and mentoring to Personal Insurance Account Managers on achieving department and office goals for New Business/Retention/Total Revenue/Account Rounding/Affiliate Referrals.
Distribution and management of daily department reports as assigned.
Development and execution of all Personal Insurance training plans for new hires and additional training needs for current team.
Generation and distribution of monthly/quarterly expiration reports for all Personal Insurance Account Managers.
Collaborate with Personal Insurance Team Leaders and Accounting with commissions and carrier specific needs for invoicing and reconciliation.
Utilizing current technology to continue to improve our training programs for the Personal Insurance Department.
Supplementary Responsibilities:
Overall account management-utilizing TIA procedures, AMS, Image Right & all TIA systems
Utilize PL Rater when preparing quotes in fulfilling clients’ needs and expectations
Complete service requests including but not limited to claims, premium payments, policy endorsements, identification card issuance, photo & property inspections, binders.
Establish expectations with current and prospective clients and provide accurate, thorough and timely quotes. Maintain follow up system to maximize retention and hit ratio.
Proactively develop prospects through referrals from present accounts and affiliates.
Sell new and renewal accounts in keeping with agency and individual office goals.
Manage the existing book of business to meet or exceed Agency retentions goals, create cross sell opportunities, upsell coverages, and identify account rounding opportunities within the current customer base.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all coverages and have the ability to clearly explain them to new customers and recommend enhancements to current customers
Thoroughly review renewals for remarketing and remarket appropriately
Process all in-coming and out-going mail (where applicable)
Deposit premium dollars into company bank account daily, including sweep accounts, reconcile and ensure accuracy (where applicable)
Review account renewals and endorsements (download and paper) for accuracy
Complete the billing procedure for account transactions
Answer incoming customer calls
Review and maintain current task/to-do list in ImageRight system
Learn all required company websites for quoting, processing, and servicing
Provide administrative support as requested by AE’s and other Sales-related staff members
Provide support to other teammates by assisting all TIA clients (regardless of location) as needed
Management of the Refer A Friend Check Distribution
Additional duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in related field and at least 5 years’ experience in Personal Insurance.
NYS Insurance License
Proven customer service skills and ability to develop exceptional sales skills
Excellent organizational, communication and phone skills
Excellent computer and keyboarding skills and knowledge of word processing with Windows experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multiple-task environment with a high-disruption rate
Ability to self-direct the completion of job duties
