Looking for a seasonal accounting role? Large manufacturing company located in Batavia, NY is currently in need of a Financial Analyst. Monday - Friday, standard business hours. 8am - 4pm. Pay based on experience. 2+ years in accounting role. Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. Proficiency in Infor Syteline a plus. Responsibilities

Coordinates accounting functions with team members and ensures sound accounting

practices are followed.

 Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual margin/variance reporting by product,

customer and warehouse.

 Coordinates with operations to ensure accuracy of overall Physical Inventory and related

audits.

 Maintains and reconciles Fixed Assets schedules.

 Analyze product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to determine effects

on cost for both new product quotes and existing product engineering changes.

 Variance analysis and review of cost allocation assumptions and rates.

 Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close, including the

preparation of monthly journal entries.

 Assist in assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.

 Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company's financial

status.

 Prepares financial analyses and reports as requested.
