Job Purpose:

The Commissioning Engineer - Electrical will be responsible for the commissioning process of electrical systems on the BPROOEPCM project in Basra, Iraq. This role involves ensuring that all electrical systems are installed, tested, and functioning correctly in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Support in Commissioning Plans: Assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive commissioning plans and schedules for electrical systems.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and construction teams to ensure proper installation and testing of electrical systems.

Pre-Commissioning Checks: Conduct thorough pre-commissioning checks and inspections to verify system readiness.

On-Site Execution: Participate in on-site commissioning activities, including energizing and testing electrical equipment under the guidance of the Commissioning Lead.

Troubleshooting: Identify and assist in resolving any issues that emerge during the commissioning process.

Documentation Preparation: Help develop and maintain necessary commissioning documentation, including test reports and as-built drawings.

Training Support: Provide support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams as necessary.

Vendor Coordination Assistance: Assist in coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and materials.

Project Communication: Participate in project meetings, providing updates on commissioning progress as required.

Integrated Activities: Collaborate with other discipline leads to ensure coordinated commissioning activities across the project.

Safety Compliance: Assist in conducting safety audits and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

Budget Input: Contribute to the development of commissioning budgets and cost estimates.

Knowledge Sharing: Provide input on lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

Mentorship Development: Support mentorship of junior engineering team members.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.

Experience with commissioning activities in FEED, design, onshore, brownfield, and construction site projects.
