The Associate Vice President-Real Estate Workplace Services will have the responsibility for design, construction, hospitality and support services for 100M SF of Administrative, Network and Technical Space.

What you'll be doing...
  • Provide strategic oversight and recommendations to leadership pertaining to our workplace design and strategies.

  • Be responsible for planning, tracking, analysis and forecasting of the Global Real Capital budget of $500M annually.

  • Manage workplaces services including cafeteria, mail, copy/print, Community Manager program, and oversight of a hotel and conference center, $35M spend.

  • Collaborate with Strategic Planning and Transactions on location strategy and lease negotiations.

  • Maintain a bench of Construction Management, Architectural firms, General Contractors and multiple specialized consultants in support of Global Real Estate Projects.

  • Work Closely with Verizon IT team on technology solutions for our buildings.

  • Liaison with all GRE disciplines on strategic direction for GRE.

  • Support all GRE initiatives related to Hybrid Work and Return to Office.

  • Develop and lead a team of 30 employees and several hundred contractors providing building related services.

  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with all Verizon business units and act as a Consultative Business Partner to them.

  • Create Senior Executive Leadership presentations for Global Real Estate Strategic Operations (ORR, VLC).

  • Ad hoc reporting for senior leadership reflecting trends and external pressures Develop operational scorecards to align with GRE Operations Key Performance Indictors.

What we're looking for...
  • 15+ years progressive and interdisciplinary Real Estate experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or greater, Architecture and Design experience.

  • Proven track record managing teams (both management and union workforce).

  • Ability to envisage problems or challenges from differing perspectives, and identify innovative solutions, or creative means to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Demonstrate success in leading transformational cost rationalization, asset management, and outsourcing strategies through integrated vendor management.

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and, or attended leadership develop programs.

  • Strong financial acumen.

  • Proven ability to lead and represent teams.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the business and present when necessary.

  • Provide executive level presentations.

  • Ability to present to senior leadership.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and make decisions with little or no direction.

  • Ability to demonstrate fiduciary responsibility for the organization.

  • Respond to ad hoc requests.

  • Ability to manage many different functions at the same time successfully.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $212,000.00 and $394,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
