Position Summary :

The Dehydrated Culture Media Quality Support Operator champion the implementation, improvement and continuation of quality assurance practices in support of products manufactured by the DCM team.

The DCM Quality Support Operator will be responsible for ensuring QA compliance and product quality requirements are met at all times. In addition, they will assist in facilitating SOP management and procedural adherence, training efficacy, and product control prior to batch release. It is the responsibility of the Quality Support Operator to initiate or investigate any required incidents or CAPAs.

The individual selected for this role will act as an effective leader in promoting quality fields, decisions and practices and will apply sound, systematic, problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating and resolving quality issues

Responsibilities:

  • Report unsafe or unethical practices immediately through the appropriate channels.

  • Proactively drive to eliminate unsafe situations or practices observed with department.

  • Play an active role within daily departmental meetings.

  • Actively engage in regular performance and development conversations and act on feedback.

  • Understand the performance metrics, safety metrics and practices for your team/department.

  • Maintain own training records within company quality management system (MasterControl).

  • Support the department and wider business in preparation and during audits.

  • Work with peers to ensure that staff training records are reflective of the roles that they are trained and capable of performing.

  • Be the driving force that ensures all breaches of the QMS are documented and appropriate CAPA plans are created and implemented.

  • Follow defined process to create a batch manufacturing record, print labels, use correct materials and equipment to create the required product.

  • Conduct cGMP and GDP reviews of batch manufacturing records.

  • Clearly and regularly articulate performance expectations for your team, openly recognizing exceptional performance.

  • Provide an environment where suggestions for improvement are welcomed and team members can come to you to easily and safely raise issues.

Experience, skills & abilities required:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrates good attention to detail, the ability to follow written instructions, record data accurately and is comfortable using a computer, including e-mail.

  • Manufacturing experience is crucial.
