Actalent Civil Project Engineer in Basehor, Kansas

Job Title: Civil Project Engineer

Role Summary:

As a Civil Engineer, you will assist our civil engineering team in developing and designing land development projects. This role involves drafting, design calculations, project analysis, report writing, and various administrative tasks. You will also gain experience in field DOT inspections and participate in client meetings and site inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and design of land development projects.

• Perform drafting and design calculations using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

• Conduct project analysis and prepare detailed reports.

• Participate in field DOT inspections as needed.

• Support the project manager with reports, client activities, and administrative tasks.

• Attend client meetings and perform civil site inspections.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of roadway design, storm and sanitary drainage design, water line design, and/or site design is preferred.

• Municipal Standards: Understanding of municipal engineering standards and processes is a plus.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to assist project managers, and interact with clients effectively.

Work Environment:
