About you and this role

Dow is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Associate Maintenance Technician to join our team in Barry, UK. In this role, you will provide essential maintenance support to our plants, focusing on mechanical equipment. Your expertise in maintaining and repairing rotating equipment will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position requires a broad range of technical skills in analytical and scientific methods or operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and correct issues with rotating, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation equipment.

• Calibrate and align equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Perform preventative maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures.

• Repair, maintain, and install equipment and machinery used in the process.

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions, documenting failure analysis.

• Collect equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements. Work within established Maintenance Work Processes and help resolve issues that arise during planning and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Completion of Dow Maintenance Apprenticeship in either Mechanical or Electrical/Instrumentation discipline.
