Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Barrington, Illinois. As a Staff Accountant, you will be integral in ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This role is pivotal in assisting the financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information

• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies

• Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements

• Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements, including federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports

• Assist in preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with all state and federal tax regulations

• Assist in the budgeting process, including creating budgets, monitoring spending, and reporting on variances

• Ensure all financial operations are compliant with laws and guidelines

Skills:

• Knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close

• Proficiency in Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP

• Experience in Public Accounting, Public Accounting Audit, Public Accounting Tax Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Familiarity with General Ledger management is expected.

• Must have experience with Journal Entries.

• Experience with Month End Close is required.

• Knowledge and experience with Oracle is expected.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

• SAP experience is necessary.

• Experience in Public Accounting is required.

• Public Accounting Audit experience is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience in Public Accounting Tax is a plus.

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate professional behavior.
