RQ Construction, LLC Heavy Equipment Operator in Barksdale AFB, Louisiana

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have now expanded to a national presence, spanning coast to coast, as well as into the Caribbean at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Puerto Rico. We offer management of projects , with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator candidate to join our team in support of projects located at Barksdale Air Force Base.

This position is responsible for operating one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders 650J (Deere), D5 (wide track), D4 and Skip loaders to grade. Excavations will be done with excavators 315 through 324 (CAT) and backhoes. operate vibratory drum compactors, telescopic fork lifts, and possibly the asphalt milling planer, Concrete pump experience would be a plus, as well as repairing and maintaining all equipment as appropriate. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Pay: $20.74 - 30.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three (3) or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry highly desirable; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry is preferred with exposure to quality control, safety, masonry, asphalt, landscaping, etc.

  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, power equipment to complete assigned work (e.g., grade or redistribute earth for reads or other construction; operate heavy construction equipment, etc.).

  • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material - Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects (e.g., checking equipment for usability and cleanliness, etc.).

  • Ability to repair equipment (mechanic experience) highly desired.

  • Heavy Equipment Operator certification.
